Real Estate Term Abstract of Title

Brief summary of a parcel of land; shows legal issues performed or used with the land including transfers, grants, wills and conveyances, liens, encumbrances, easements, property taxes or other issues; the title is normally kept in public records and has to be examined whenever land is being bought and sold to see if the seller has free-and-clear rights to sell the property.
